Finn Church Aid is assisting those affected by the flood with our partners Church World Service and Norwegian Church Aid by distributing food, non-food items and tents and providing clean water. Health services are provided by mobile clinics. Finn Church Aid is also sending relief workers to Pakistan. Find out more
Finn Church Aid (FCA) operates in more than 30 countries, wherever the need is greatest. We are working with the poorest people, regardless of their religious beliefs, ethnic background or political convictions. FCA is a partner organisation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Finland and part of the international aid network.
Lasting change can only be created through long-term cooperation with local communities and people. We are committed to continue working until the people in need of assistance can make their own living and fulfil their basic needs.
Poverty reduction requires the realization of peace and human rights. In our projects we always work to achieve the realization of both these objectives. We encourage all Finns to participate in the discussion and to advocate change in the structures that cause poverty, violence and human rights abuses. In 2009 we provided aid with a total budget of about 23 million euros.
